Wanted: BBQ Chef to join our amazing team due to the huge increase in our bookings for the 2022 season

Rate: £150 per day

The Meat Thief – Outdoor Event Catering Company is looking for a Saturday Chef to join our cool and friendly team at Saturday and Occasional Midweek events

You will need a passion of live fire cooking over charcoal and smoking.

Using the best ingredients from rare breed meats to the best vegetables. Everything is cooked over sustainable wood + Charcoal.

Requirements of the role

Full UK Driving License
Ability to drive LWB Van – VW Crafter
Experience of working in kitchens
Experience of working in outdoor kitchens, Setup & Pull Down required
Create new ideas and dishes to present to the Business owners
Willingness to learn a new skill and adapt to our open kitchen
Some grill work is beneficial
Excellent time management
Team player that can work alone and with others

The Meat Thief catered for an event at our Outdoor Centre in October 2023 for around 170 people. The food was fantastically presented and absolutely delicious and was greatly appreciated by all our guests. We also found that the flexibility leading up to the event was excellent, the organisation on the day superb, and the team's customer service with all our guests couldn't be faulted. We would highly recommend them, and will definitely be using them again in the future.

5 stars really aren’t enough! We hired The Meat Thief for our wedding on 28th May 2022. To begin with, we were invited to go to a tasting which was hosted at Natasha and Jordan’s house. Aside from the food (DELICIOUS!) it was so lovely to be invited into their home and made everything all the more personal. We grew to think of Natasha and her family as friends before anything else. Throughout the process of revisions to our order, planning, and the day itself - Natasha was perfectly professional and an absolute delight to deal with. The food on the day was absolutely unbelievable. There was so much, lots of variety with vegans and vegetarians fully catered for and it was all laid out with beautiful presentation. We had so many compliments on the food, in my opinion it’s one of the most important factors of the day and to have it go so perfectly took so much pressure off us and really helped us to give our guests an unforgettable experience. I cannot recommend The Meat Thief enough. Book them now!

Just had the most amazing BBQ food in November for my birthday and on my what a taste explosion it was. The brisket was so moist and tender, the smokey Mac'n'cheese topped with pigs in blankets, i could eat that everyday, the BBQ beans, potatoes and coleslaw. You will not be disappointed.

We recently had a party in our garden for 70 guests including about 12 kids and had The Meat Thief cater for us. They were AMAZING!! They set up on our drive with serving tables in the back garden which they decorated nicely. They provided an absolute feast for us! Natasha had suggested a menu and it included everything you could ever want.. sausages, burgers, loads of tasty vegetables and vegetarian options. There was a huge selection of salads, breads and sauces. They were very accommodating with food intolerances and gave us plenty of gluten free options. We cannot say enough how tasty the food was, it was just delicious. So many of our guests commented to us about it. On top of all of this Natasha and her team were brilliant, they were professional and friendly and we couldn't have wanted anything more! Thank you again!

We booked The Meat Thief for a corporate evening event and I could not have been more impressed. There was a huge selection of excellent quality BBQ meats, delicious salads and selection of breads and sauces. I was particularly impress with the vegetarian and vegan options - usually these are quite limited and disappointing - however, our vegetarians and vegans had nothing but praise and could stop eating! Natasha and her staff were friendly, very accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. We would love to book them again for a BBQ!

This wonderful catering company run by Natasha and Jordan catered our wedding this summer. They went above and beyond our expectations the food was incredible and their service was first class. This catering company never fail to impress. They really do provide a professional 5 star service. They are reliable, organised and provide excellent food at a high standard. Catered for our wedding on the 5th August 2017 and did an amazing job. Really attentive in the build up, very reasonably priced but still provided very tasty high quality food, and made the BBQ area all look very pretty which blended in with our overall look (summer fete/festival vibe). Natasha and Jordan provided the catering for my husbands surprise party. They were really helpful in suggesting menu options and organising things before the day. On the day they set up early and we didn't have to do anything. The food itself was amazing, lots of guests commented that it was one of the best BBQ caterers they had seen. Everything was cleared away and made easy, best of all it was excellent value. I would recommend them to anyone.

I was looking for a catering company to provide food for a surprise 30th birthday party as I had just given birth and didn't want to worry about the food whilst trying to look after my son and entertain guests. I looked at so many different types of caterers and I made the decision to use the Meat Thief... I wasn't disappointed! They made the whole day easy going, people were loving the food and most of the party had asked for their details to use them in the future for events of their own. The food was outstanding and they made a huge effort to make my day easy. I would 100% use their services again for future events. They will not disappoint!! Thank you guys again! First encountered this catering experience in Southsea Food Festival and I am so pleased to have done so! A delectable treat for this tastebuds, the burgers were divine with an unusual and appealing array of self serve condiments.
