The Southsea food festival 2019 was held on 20th-21st July 2019. During this festival, the town is usually filled with markets stalls offering some of the best food and drinks. The stalls are typically manned by local producers from the area. This year, the festival took place as was planned. There were varieties of foods for the whole family to enjoy including street food. Who doesn’t love street food?
With the farmers’ market being only on Sunday the 21st, many people were able to get fresh groceries and foods from the farm. It featured a wide range of quality products to choose from. The best thing is that all the products are from the local area. This gave visitors a chance to sample products such as bacon, cheese, chocolates, brownies, pies, gin and many more.
The Southsea food festival is an all-inclusive festival that sees that everyone is included. This means that people with food restrictions also had a variety to choose from. Whether vegan, vegetarian, of those with dairy or gluten allergies, there’s something for everyone! The festival features simple local products made in Hampshire giving you a great opportunity to carry some treats home.
Those who love music enjoyed the day as there was a music stage featuring local talent. This, in turn, created a nice festival atmosphere for visitors to enjoy. This is the perfect event for a foodie. Everyone had access to great food, music and even food products to buy. Those who enjoy cooking also got an opportunity to mingle with the chefs and bakers on site.
